Email Security & Phishing Awareness

Your Security Matters

At Bergen Logistics, trust is at the core of everything we do. Recently, we’ve been made aware of phishing attempts impersonating Bergen team members using lookalike domains. This page is here to help you identify authentic communication, report suspicious messages, and protect your business.

What Is Phishing?

Phishing is a type of cyber attack where scammers impersonate trusted brands or people—often by email—to trick recipients into revealing sensitive information like passwords, payment details, or login credentials.

It’s one of the most common forms of cybercrime worldwide:

  • Over 3.4 billion phishing emails are sent every day
  • 91% of cyberattacks begin with a phishing email
  • Business email compromise (BEC) caused over $2.7 billion in losses in 2022 alone (FBI IC3 Report)

Phishing emails often look convincing and urgent—but one wrong click can put your business at risk.

Ongoing Phishing Alert

Some clients have received fraudulent emails claiming to be from Bergen Logistics. These emails may:

Warning Signs

  • Request urgent payment, login credentials, or sensitive business information
  • Appear convincing, using our logo, language, or real staff names

How to Know It’s Really Us

You can trust the message only if all of the following are true:

  • It’s sent from an email ending in @bergenlogistics.com
  • It comes from a contact you recognize or have worked with
  • It includes our proper signature with name, title, and contact info
  • It aligns with prior communication you've had with us

If even one of these seems off, do not click links or download attachments. Instead, forward the message to for review.
